Adult Counseling
If you want a therapist that will laugh at your jokes and challenge you in creative and often-quirky ways, you’ve come to the right place.
As a client, it’s important you have a space to be your truest, messiest, most authentic self. In order to help you feel safe, you have a right to know that I value you, your humanity, identity, and experiences. If asked, I will not hedge. I am neurodivergent and LGBTQIA+ affirming in my practice. I affirm all relationship orientations and styles. I value your right to live openly and freely without fear of prejudice or harm based on any identity you may hold. And healthcare. I think you should have that, too.
Sometimes, clients just need to know that we can crack jokes with each other. (We can.)
Most importantly, I strive to create a sense of emotional safety with my clients. If I’m successful, you will leave the room knowing that I care about you as a human and want nothing but to see you living your best, happiest life as you define it. You will also know that I can challenge you in a way that feels caring, helpful, and aligned with your goals. I consider our relationship a long term investment, and I want you to be able to grow into it for a long time.
Here are some of the things I love working with:
ADHD & Autism, including:
Late diagnosis trauma
ADHD & autism in girls/women
Severe and/or complex trauma
Difficulty with forming & maintaining healthy relationships
Anxiety, depression, and other mood concerns
Gender identity
Deciding whether or not to be a parent
Existential concerns (Why am I here? Do I matter? What’s the meaning of life?)
Processing whatever is going on in the world from an affirming lens (aka, I won’t tell you to turn the news off).
